The Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), 7 Del. C. § 9107 (a)(1), requires the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) to provide “public notification within 20 days after entering into negotiations for a voluntary cleanup settlement agreement with any person that agrees to perform a remedy.”

As required by § 9107 (a)(1), DNREC advises that it is negotiating a Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) Agreement with the Delaware Department of Transportation regarding the Georgetown to Lewes Trail Phase 8 Site (DE-1709) located at South Railroad Avenue, Georgetown, DE.  The Site is identified as portions of Sussex County tax parcel number 135.15.00-134.00.
