The City of Delaware City has applied for a renewal of its public water allocation which serves approximately 1,900 people in New Castle County. The application includes two existing public wells. The requested allocation is 0.350 million gallons (MG) per day, 8.0 MG per month, and 80.0 MG per year.
The Town of Smyrna has applied for a renewal of its public water allocation which serves approximately 11,600 people in New Castle and Kent Counties. The application includes three existing public wells. The requested allocation is 2.7 MG per day, 62.0 MG per month, and 712.0 MG per year.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by July 22, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
