Project Description: Town of Smyrna proposes to install a pump station, approximately two thousand eight hundred and ninety linear feet (2,890 LF) gravity sanitary sewer main, six hundred and eighty-nine linear feet (689 LF) sanitary sewer force main to serve approximately 500 units (103 existing and 397 future proposed connections). The gravity sewer will be installed in the proposed Simons Corner Apartments subdivision leading to the proposed Smith & Loveless recessed pump station alongside Pondside Drive. The force main will take the flow along the west side of Pondside Drive to an existing manhole located just east of Streamside Circle within Christina Apartments subdivision. The pumping station will be owned and operated by the Town of Smyrna following final completion and acceptance of construction.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 14 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
