Notice has been given that:
The City of Wilmington and Jacobs, request a Construction permit for the installation of a limited term flare while upgrading the cover of Digester 2 and making concrete repairs to the digester at the Wilmington Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 12th Street and Hay Road in Wilmington, Delaware. Once construction is complete, the rental flare will be removed and the existing flare will be placed back into operation. The limited term flare will be permitted to emit 0.45 TPY of PM10, 1.17 TPY of NOx, 0.37 TPY of SOx, 1.38 TPY of CO, 0.01 TPY of VOC by Permit: APC-2023/0072-CONSTRUCTION.

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending August 7, 2023. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
