Project Description: Cherner Development Group proposes to install a semi-positive displacement grinder pump station, approximately fifteen feet (15 ft) of eight (8) inch diameter sanitary gravity sewer, thirty-five feet (35 ft) of one point five (1.5) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main to serve 5,390 s.f. carwash located on the southwest corner of John J. Williams Hwy. (SR 24) & Warrington Rd. (SR 1D) in Sussex County. The sewer infrastructure is to be owned and maintained by the developer. The sewage will flow from the pump station in a 1.25” force main and discharge into an existing 4” force main along John J. Williams Hwy.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 14 days from this notice. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
