The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application for the construction of wastewater conveyance has been received concerning the following:

McKee Builders proposes to install a duplex submersible sanitary sewer pump station, approximately three thousand one hundred and fifty-seven linear feet (3,157 LF) of six (6) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main and related appurtenances to serve one hundred and thirty-seven (137) proposed single family homes in the Pennfield subdivision located on the south side of Port Penn Road approximately one thousand seven hundred (1,700) feet east of the Dupont Parkway (Rt. 13) intersection north of Odessa in New Castle County, Delaware. The proposed pump station will be located on the south end of the subdivision. The pump station’s discharge force main will proceed west to interconnect with an existing New Castle County ten (10) inch diameter force main on the east side of Rt. 13.

A public hearing concerning the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before June 7, 2023. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
