Allocation Permits

Broadkiln Beach Water Company has requested an allocation permit modification for two existing public wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 144,000 gallons per day. The wells are located northeast of Milton in Sussex County, near the intersection of Broadkill and Turkle Pond Roads. Tax parcel 235-9.00-12.00.

Cape Windsor Community Association has requested an allocation permit modification for four existing public wells. The maximum daily withdrawal is 432,000 gallons per day. The wells are located west of Fenwick Island in Sussex County, near the intersection of Lincoln and Wilson Roads. Tax parcels 533-20.14-75.00 and  533-20.14-46.00.

The Town of Milton has requested an allocation permit renewal for four existing public wells and a permit allocation for one proposed public well. The requested daily withdrawal for the wells are 500,000 gallons per day. The wells are located within the limits of Milton in Sussex County. Tax parcels 2-35-14.00-0088.00, 2-35-20.08-0009.00, 2-35-14.19-0148.00, and 2-35-14.19-0178.00.

State of Delaware has requested an allocation permit for two existing public wells and one proposed public well. The requested daily withdrawal for the wells are 254,800 gallons per day. The wells are located southeast of Laurel in Sussex County, near the intersection of Trap Drive and Goose Nest Road. Tax parcel 2-32-22.00-0008.00.

Dewatering Permits

City of Wilmington proposes to dewater for wetland construction. The Tax Map Number is 2605000061.  The proposed system consists of 1 sump pit, 20’ deep and 36 inch diameter casing.  The discharge water will be sent to the approved devices on site.  The duration of this project is approximately 2 years.  The site is located on the South side of A Street, south of the Christina River in New Castle County.  The desired capacity of this system is 5,184,000 gallons per day.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by June 24, 2019, at 4:30 p.m.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
